Noted international course architect Arthur Hills has designed courses all across America, and several foreign countries, but only one course in Myrtle Beach bares his signature, and that is the PineHills Course at Mytlewood Golf Club.
Located in central Myrtle Beach off of the Highway 17 Bypass, Myrtlewood Golf Club is a popular venue for local events and vacationing golfers. Sister course Palmetto is a classic layout, while PineHills has some modern design elements, including sculpted fairways with mounds and grass bunkers.
Water is present on eleven holes of the PineHills Course, but there are relatively few forced carries. Generous fairways and large TifDwarf Bermuda greens make it a fun course for golfers of all abilities. It is particularly appealing to female golfers because of the consideration regarding placement of forward tees.
Myrtlewood Golf Club offers a practice range, putting green, chipping area, practice bunker, showers, and restaurant, and another 18 holes at their Palmetto Course, making it a perfect choice for a 27- or 36-hole day.
