This classic Jack Nicklaus design delivers on challenge and beauty. The course is situated along the saltwater marsh in historic Pawleys Island. The course opened in 1988, and remains among South Carolina’s top-ranked courses.

Notable holes include the 13th, a relatively short par 3 that requires a short iron off of a dike into a green that is surrounded by marsh. The prevailing sea breeze definitely impacts your club selection. The 13th shares a green with the par 4, 16th, a formidable dogleg left.

The par 72 layout stretches to 7,026 yards from the “Golden Bear” tees and boasts a course rating of 75.7 and slope of 148. However with five sets of tee boxes, the course offers a suitable challenge to all levels of golfers.

Amenities at Pawleys Plantation include a grill, full practice facility, Ritson-Sole Golf School, on-site lodging, and meeting rooms. The beautiful low country setting makes it a popular venue for weddings and anniversary dinners.
