With waste bunkers or more traditional bunkers lining nearly every fairway, the Tom Fazio design provides ample challenge from start to finish.

Pete Dye, The Hall of Fame of architect, delivered everything that was expected of him at Barefoot Resort’s Dye Club, which has been ranked among America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses. The Dye Club, the area’s most prominent “big event” course, can rattle the weak of mind of with yawning waste bunkers and the perception of a meaty challenge.

World Golf Hall of Famer Raymond Floyd and course architect Tom Jackson teamed up to create this 27-hole gem, located near the heart of Myrtle Beach. Each of the three nines – Cypress, Lakes and Waterway -- has it’s own personality taking a lot of its character from what nature provided.

Opened in 1974, the course helped to launch the career of noted modern architect Rees Jones, who made the course his first solo design effort. In the proceeding four decades, it has hosted numerous Carolinas PGA events, testing players with tree-lined fairways and undulating, well-protected green complexes with Tifton Dwarf Bermuda putting surfaces.
