River Club, opened in 1985 and designed by Tom Jackson, is one of the gems of the Southern Grand Strand and a member of the illustrious Waccamaw Golf Trail. At just over 6,600 yards from the back Blue tees, the course offers a perfect blend of challenge and playability that appeals to all levels of player.
Prestwick features all the hallmarks of a Dye design - railroad ties, pot bunkers and rolling greens – and delivers the quality of work associated with one of the most prominent names in golf course architecture.
It’s nicknamed “The Granddaddy,” as Pine Lakes is the first and oldest golf course on the Myrtle Beach Grand Strand. It was designed in the mid-1920’s by a native of St. Andrews, Scotland named Robert White, who went on to become the first President of the PGA of America.
