Legends Golf Resort to Host Fundraiser for Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation
June 17, 2009, Myrtle Beach, S.C. – Legends Golf Resort announced today that it will host the inaugural Brian Lee Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, July 4th.
A frequent visitor to the Myrtle Beach area and a brother of Legends Resort director of marketing, Steve Lee, Brian Lee lost his battle with a brain tumor in July 2008 and all proceeds from the charity golf tournament will benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation located in Asheville, North Carolina.
The format of the tournament will be a captain’s choice scramble with a 9:00 a.m. start. All participants will receive a tournament gift bag and long drive and closest-to-the-pin contests to be held. After the tournament, golfers will be treated to a cookout lunch with additional tickets for purchase by friends and family. Items for silent auction include four round-trip tickets from Myrtle Beach Direct Air, gift certificates to local restaurants and other items.
Entry fees are $75 per player and $275 for a foursome with hole sponsorships available for $50 or $100.
