October 22, 2008, Myrtle Beach, S.C.GOLF Magazine has named two Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday members to its prestigious 2007-2008 ranking of the “Top 25 Golf Schools in America.” The Classic Swing Golf School and the Phil Ritson-Mel Sole Golf School were each recognized as two of the top golf schools in America, according to GOLF Magazine's biennial ranking of the nation's golf schools just published in the November issue. The two schools were the only golf academies in the state of South Carolina to be honored.

The “Top 25 Golf Schools in America” ranking was launched in 1999 and the top golf schools are selected by the GOLF Magazine Golf School Evaluation Panel after reviewing each school’s basic structure and qualifications. The panel compares each school with the defining criteria includingthe breadth of instructional programs; the student-to-teacher ratio; the advanced golf technology applied to instruction; the total number ofinstruction hours, thefacilities and accommodations provided and the level of experience of the teaching professionals.

“Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is known for its quality and quantity of public golf courses and this honor from GOLF Magazine further reinforces the fact that the Grand Strand area is the top golf destination in the world, whether you are coming to play a few rounds or to receive instruction from nationally-recognized PGA teaching professionals,” said Bill Golden, president of Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday. “Classic Swing Golf School and Ritson-Sole Golf School are two of the best in Myrtle Beach and in the country and represent the state of South Carolina well.”
