PGA TOUR Superstore World Amateur Handicap Championship
Four thousand golfers, 72 holes of intense stroke play competition, an 18-hole championship playoff, nightly parties and entertainment. It may sound like the U.S. Open from qualifying to conclusion, but the PGA TOUR Superstore World Amateur Handicap Championship is an event unlike any other.
Know Your Score-Fight Prostate Cancer
EVERY SATURDAY IN APRIL! Closest-to-the-Pin Contests! 8:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M. Recognizing the opportunity we have with a large number of male visitors to our area golf courses, the Know Your Score-Fight Prostate Cancer committee was formed to see if we could make a difference in this fight. Along with our committee and the National Prostate Cancer Coalition we intend to raise $250,000 for education and research to fight this disease. Our first initiative will be to hold Closest-to-the Pin contests at 40 golf courses every Saturday during the month of April. We hope to have nearly 160 volunteers working at par threes at golf courses all over the Myrtle Beach area. The CTP contest will work as follows: when the golfers tee off each starter at the golf course will hand an information card to the golfer, the card will include educational information on being screened for prostate cancer; as well as details of the competition. At the par three the golfer will pay $20 and receive golf balls, a $10 gift certificate to the PGA Super Store, and a subscription to golf magazine. If he/she wins the competition, they will receive a new putter-we will give one putter away at each golf course.
Summer Family Golf Tournaments
Each summer for the past 18 years, the Myrtle Beach area golf courses host a series of single-day events designed to allow families to include a little golf competition with their family vacation. The format is a two-person Captain's Choice (scramble). We use the Callaway System, so no handicap is necessary. Each event includes three divisions: Open, Couples and Adult/Youth. The Palmetto Golf Championship
Spring Event: March 20 – 22, 2008 / Fall Event: September 12 & 13, 2008
The Palmetto High School Golf Championship features separate spring and fall seasonal events. In total, the spring and fall events host over 150 high school golf teams from across the nation, of any ability, public or private - a premier experience that trumps any high school golf match or tournament.

The Veterans Golf Classic - May 19-21, 2008
Military Veterans, active Military personnel and their families from across the country come together in Myrtle Beach for fun, great golf and camaraderie. This three-round team tournament features a different format each day and is flighted based on the combined team handicap. Singles are always welcome and will be paired with other players by the event staff.

FDNY 9/11 Memorial Golf Outing
Join more than 1,000 firefighters from around the country for a three-day golf event. The Alfred E. Ronaldson Spring Golf Classic started in Orange County, N.Y., in May 1992. It expanded and grew for more than 10 years and became the largest tournament yet.
National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Golf Classic
On behalf of the National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial Fund we want to welcome you to the 9th annual National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Golf Classic, the "WORLD'S LARGEST LAW ENFORCEMENT GOLF EVENT." This years dates will be November 9, 2008 thru November 14, 2008.
The Caravelle Cup

Father and Son Team Classic - July 17 - 19, 2008
Format: Two-Man Better Ball, Two-Man Alternate Shot, Two-Man Captain's Choice Divisions: Gross and Net Entrant Qualifications: Open to any father / son type relationship including Grandfather / Grandson, Stepfather / Stepson, Father / Son (In-Law) and Uncle / Nephew.
Entry Fee: $1,045 / team - New Participants Includes: $200 Martin's Gift Certificate (per person), three rounds of golf, daily lunch, Father & Son Skills Challenge & Demo Alley, tournament player shirt, AHEAD hat, premium golf balls, annual GolfStyles subscription, Awards Ceremony, and prizes.
