Voted “Myrtle Beach Area Golf Course of the Year” in 2010, Sandpiper Bay Golf & Country Club is a 27-hole Dan Maples design, located just above the State line in Sunset Beach, NC. With three nines — Sand, Piper and Bay — Sandpiper Bay offers a perfect venue for an extended day of championship golf. Sandpiper is a player-friendly course with multiple tee locations, gently contoured fairways, very few forced carries, and mini-verde greens.

Two of the three nines feature three par-3s. Hole #7 on the Sand Course is among Sandpiper’s signature holes. A fairway bunker positioned down the left side of the fairway forces you to stay to the right. Aim your tee shot towards the bunkers on the right of the fairway. Select your club wisely on the tee and it will set you up for a short fairway shot to a elevated green. Sandpiper is a regular host course for the Golf Holiday World Amateur Championship as well as the annual Veterans Classic.

In addition, Sandpiper annually hosts the Pretty In Pink Tournament to provide financial assistance for men and women diagnosed with cancer in Brunswick County. Other amenities at Sandpiper include a practice range and putting green, chipping area, restaurant and bar.
