Rees Jones Course At Sea Trail Resort

Sea Trail Golf Resort & Conference Center is located just minutes north of Myrtle Beach and a few miles over the state border in Sunset Beach, North Carolina. Set on a beautiful 2,000 acre coastal tract of property, it attracts golfers from across the world and the local region alike. The Rees Jones Course at Sea Trail opened in 1990 and measures 6,761 yards from its back Blue tee set. It sports a Rating of 73.1 and a Slope of 135, making it enjoyable for all golfers from all four of its sets of tee markers. Its greens are bent grass, which visitors from northern climes particularly enjoy. Water is the course’s main form of hazard, as it comes into play on 11 of its 18 holes. True to form, though, Jones’ distinctive bunkering must also be navigated at practically every turn. For instance, on the 144-yard par three 13th hole, a massive waste bunker guards the front of the green while another, smaller one guards the rear-left portion of the putting surface.
