Norman Course at Barefoot Resort and Golf
Barefoot Resort brought The Shark to Myrtle Beach, and Greg Norman delivered a splendid layout.
Norman used his imagination to create a layout that has emerged as one of the most popular along the Myrtle Beach golf scene. Using the area’s natural vegetation and tactical landscaping, the Norman course only has 60 mowable acres of grass.
Of course, having six holes playing the Intracoastal on the back nine helps cut down the on the mowing as well! The Norman Course is one of only seven on the Grand Strand that plays along the Intracoastal and it takes full advantage, offering some of the area’s most stunning views of the waterway.
One big reason for the Norman golf course’s appeal is its playability. The Shark gives Myrtle Beach golfers the opportunity to ease into the round and prepares them for the challenges created by the waterway.
The Norman Course, like its fellow layouts at Barefoot, is always in pristine condition. The course installed new Champion Bermuda grass greens last year and the results have been spectacular, providing the course outstanding greens throughout the year.
