International Club

On a list of Myrtle Beach’s most underrated courses, International Club should rank somewhere near the top. The Murrells Inlet, South Carolina course opened in 2000 and has enjoyed a gradual ascent, making itself a golf vacation favorite.

A four-star layout, according to Golf Digest’s “Best Places to Play Guide,” International Club delivers both a quality layout and an aesthetically pleasing course. The property is immaculately maintained, highlighted by more than 300 palmetto trees, and the greens are some of the fastest on the beach.

Water is the primary hazard at International, coming into play on 15 holes via an assortment of tidal creeks and lakes, but it’s not overly penal. Wayward shots will be punished, as they should, but International is a player-friendly design.

The par 3 11th is International’s signature hole and the type of challenge that motivates people to take a Myrtle Beach golf vacation. The 6,857-yard layout has five sets of tees, starting at 4,838 yards, giving players of all skill levels and equitable chance to score.
