Diamond Back at Woodland Valley

Diamond Back has the name of one of nature’s most feared reptiles, and the reputation for being one of the area’s friendlies facilities

The 6,907-yard layout is one of the best-kept secrets on the Myrtle Beach golf scene, challenging players with an assortment of natural and manmade hazards. Fairway bunkers are a primary challenge off the tee on a layout carved from the area’s native pine trees.

Players who drive the ball accurately will find themselves in position to score throughout the round, but the sand and water hazards provide a significant challenge.

The clubhouse, which features a Montana lodge theme, is an ideal complement to a course that showcases South Carolina’s natural inland beauty. The Russell Breeden design opened in 1999 and is a nice addition to any Myrtle Beach golf vacation itinerary.

Diamondback is one of the Grand Strand’s quiet stars, providing a good round of golf at a tremendous value.
