I have been lucky enough to have played 70 courses in the Myrtle Beach and have enjoyed nearly all of them. My favorite course is Pawleys Plantation. It offers all of the amenities one could want. The staff is always courteous and helpful and the course is always in excellent condition.

My favority Myrtle Beach course is River's Edge. Challenging, scenic and interesting. I have never shot the same score twice, but I go back every year...

My favorite course is Grande Dunes. It is top shelf all the way. It has some real scenic holes on the intercoastal waterway.

I've played many of the Myrtle beach area courses, but my favorite would have to be either PRESTWICK or KING'S NORTH.

I've had the pleasure of playing over 1/2 the courses on the Grand Strand and my personal fave is Caledonia Golf & Fish Club, a Mike Strantz masterpiece....stunning!

I have played alot of myrtle Beaches golf courses and my favorite has to be Kings North..

Although I have only played it once, Pawleys Plantation is memorable. It just hasn't worked out playing it again but I can't wait!

I've played roughly 50 courses in Myrtle Beach and my favorite has been The Witch. My friends and I love the layout. Each hole is away by itself, quiet and peaceful, seldom seeing other holes or players.

My favorite course for a long time has been the Avocet course at Wild Wing (the only one of the four still there, or intact).

Why? Every hole has it's own unique character. No two are remotely alike. No hole can be confused with another.

My favorite course is still Tidewater. I just find the layout to be pleasing to the eye and to the game. Used to be in fabulous condition, lately has been more spotty, but a great track

My favorite course was Heritage Glen in South Myrtle Beach with its grand oaks and scenic fairways, you really wanted to take your time with each golf shot and enjoy the ambiance and views...I would definitely visit this course again when I play Myrtle Beach.

My favorite Myrtle Beach course is Oyster Bay. The holes are all unique and the staff is outstanding.

My favorite course is Caledonia. It is so beautiful. As you drive in you get the feel of Augusta. The course is in excellent shape. It is fun trying to get across the water on the 18th while people are relaxing after their round on the porch. Course is always in great shape and fun to play.

MY FAVORITE COURSE IS TIGER'S EYE. I HAVE PLAYED AROUND 50 TO 60 COURSES AND TIGERS EYE IS THE MOST FUN

When it's winter time in Iowa, any and all of them are my favorites! Isn't the time to get all picky and start splitting hairs.

I has to be Tidewater. 3 and 4 get the game going. 10, 11, 12 are like Amen Corner!

The two sister courses are my favorites... Caledonia and True Blue

It's Caledonia - by two lengths over Tidewater, which finishs a neck in front of Heritage, Thistle and three (of the four) tracks at Barefoot Landing.

Honorable mention to Prestwick, TPC, Oyster Bay, the three gems over at Legends, Grande Dunes, Heather Glen, Blacmoor, the "Cats" up in the north end of 17, and two dozen more!!

No wonder we're heading back for our 18th annual visit to the Grand Strand come October!

My favorite course is the Dunes Club. Straight ahead golf, unbeleiveable condition, fast greens, what you see is what you get...now go get it! A great test of golf! The sights along the coast of the "ocean" holes is great! The back nine is one of the best nines you will ever play. A very friendly and helpful staff! Never very crowded. It may be private, but not hard to get on. Once you play it, it will always be a favorite!

Caledonia has it all! Fun to play and fair too!

I have played approximately fifty courses over the past twenty years and there are two which always bring me back, those being Caledonia and Kings North. If you have not played these you have missed a great opportunity. Played Caledonia more than a dozen times and it never gets old.

I haven't played nearly as many as you guys, but of the ones that I have, here is how I would rank them:

1)TPC Myrtle Beach. Best in Show.
2)Tidewater. Loved that 10-12 stretch
3)Caledonia.Clubhouse drive and chowder at the turn.Great course
4)International World Tour. Really fun
5)King's North. The Gambler, 'nuff said
6)True Blue. Didn't do much for me. Too quirky

My all time favorite is Long Bay. I love this course.

1-Tidewater just love the layout (have heard its not in the same shape as it used to be
2-Caledonia great course except for hole 9 just doesn't belong.
3-River's Edge amazing holes, just wish they could keep the greens in better shape
4-Heritage- just a classic
5-The Dunes
6-King's North
7-Parkland @ Legends
8-Avocet (greens need to be better)

I have played about 40 different courses over the last 16 years in Myrtle Beach. The top 5 that come to mind in no particular order are pawley's Plantantion, Caledonia, Barefoot resort (Love), Tidewater, and Oyster Bay. I could play these courses over and over. Staffs all friendly and courses are all unique in there oown way

I've played about 50 of the Myrtle Beach courses. My favorite is The Heritage Club. Wide fairways, large greens & wonderful scenery. The course is always in great condition & the staff is very friendly.

Every trip to Myrtle Beach is a pleasure... I have to say Caledonia is my favorite course of all that I have played in MB.... always in immacculate condition and the atmosphere is stress-free and enjoyable.

The Thistle....if you haven't played it give it a shot. I must say they take good care of you and the course is wonderful. Loved it!!

I have been playing golf in Myrtle Beach since 1982. I always enjoyed the Surf Club. Now with it having gone private, I love playing the Witch. The feeling of your group being the only ones on the course in Myrtle is terrific. The Heathland at Legends really does give you a Scottish links experience and is a lot of fun to play.

I would have to say that The Grande Dunes is one of my favorite courses. True Blue is right up there too!

My favorite course is Waterway Hills. It is conveniently located. The views along the intercoastal are always pretty. While the course is challenging enough, it isn't too difficult for a real hacker like me. The course is always in great shape and the employees are exceptionally friendly.

I have been playing golf in Myrtle Beach for 30 years...and The Heritage Club is the one course I play every trip.....& Caledonia is a close second...If you do not play these courses...you miss two fantastic rounds of golf!

My favorite spring time course is Heritage.

My favorite all time course is Kings North.

best course THE DUNES

There is a tie with me between Tidewater and the Heritage... I have played from Pacific to the Atlantic and they rate with the best.. If it is just for looks then it is Heritage in a walk..

I would have to go with best score, so that would be Eagles Nest

My favorite course in the Grand Strand area is Pine Lakes. I played it for the first time when I was 17, and it was just 9 holes. They did have two sets of tees, and you played a different set each nine. After the Dunes club opened, they expanded to 18 holes. I have played it many times since, and enjoyed the kilts, the champagne in the spring and summer, and the soup in the winter.

My favorite Myrtle Beach area course would be the Founders Club at St. James formerly known as The Gauntlet. Although I played the course just once back in the 1990's, I remember quite a few holes and I can't say that about the 15 other courses I've played in the Myrtle Beach area.

Oyster Bay baby. This course is just flat out fun to play.The Tidewater course was really nice and the people there were very hospitable, nice touch.I didnt get a chance to play the Dunes course because of rain out but it looked very nice.

Hi,I played at Tidewater and the very 1st hole i got a birdie then keep right on getting pars i got to the 18th hole and got another birdie.OH i forgot i also had a hole in one too.Just as i was getting near the 19th hole i woke up.Darn it,It was just a Dream. I love World Tour but at Kings North ...

I came the closest that I have come (other than witnessing 4 real ones) to a hole in one.

I had been shooting like an idiot for the 90 holes that I had played in the previous 3 days so the last round of the trip was not one that I was expecting to do anything memorable in.

I went out in 43 so was pretty excited as apart from double bogeys on the first and the ninth I was playing some pretty good golf (for me anyway).

I get to the 12th (it is the 3rd on the card but we started on the 10th) and I decide to play the hole sensibly.

I lay up with a 3 iron rather than trying to drive the short green - I hit a horrible banana slice (for those who have ever seen me play even worse than my normal slice). I stop, take a deep breath and decide that I am going to be sensible again and rather than try and hit a 5 wood or a 3 iron I am going to lay up with a pitching wedge and leave myself another wedge to the green. I hit the ground 2 inches behind the ball and it travels about 15 feet. I am now mildly annoyed so I decide that in order to save my round I will hit the green with a 5 wood, this shoot again goes about 10 feet. I am now throwing clubs around. I take a 3 iron and the balls goes about 50 feet. I then decide to hit an 8 iron and hit it into the greenside bunker. I wander up to the bunker and am almost hit by a tee shot from one of the following group who has decided to try and drive the hole. I hit a nice sand shot and then 3 putt for a 9. My good round has just fallen apart.

I walk to the next tee wondering what other sport I can take up and hit a pitching wedge into the water. At this point I have only negative swing thoughts in my mind and a mild desire to throw all my clubs into the water. I take another ball out of my bag swing the pitching wedge it takes one bounce and rolls into the hole !!!

A hole in one !!!

Well a par really but as close as I have come so far.

I've played over 50 courses in the last 15 years and my favorites in order are Thistle, Barefoot/Love, Legends/Moorland, Tiger's Eye and King's North. My favorite facilities (for golf course quality) Ocean Ridge (Big Cats) and last BUT NOT LEAST St. James Plantation (Members, Players and Founders Clubs)...if I lived in Myrtle Beach I'd be a member there. Honourable mention goes to the three tracks at Litchfield (River Club, Willbrook & Litchfield). From snowy Quebec...see you in May 2009. Can't wait !!!

Every year we end up with a different favorite. Last year it was Wild Wing - Avocet. They had competitive rates, friendly staff, decent conditions, and a nice variety of wildlife on the course.

My favorite golf course is Blackmoor. I just like the layout, scenery, and the history with the cemetary. It just seems to be a little different than the rest of the grand strands layouts

I have played many courses in Myrtle Beach, but I always look forward to playing Oyster Bay. Many interesting holes, and fun to play.

I have loved coming to Myrtle Beach for over 30 years. In that time I have had the pleasure of playing a great many of the courses. I would be remiss if I didn't choose the Rees Jones course at Sea Trail as I had my first hole-in-one at the par 3 17th. In addition to the excitement of this accomplishment it was even better because I was playing with my brother-in-law so the family had to believe I actually made the shot (9 iron from the white tees). Fortunately the foursome ahead of us was delayed on the 18th tee so they were also watching the shot. I have 5 verifying signatures on my trophy card. I also love to play at Heather Glen and have done so on many occasions.

Marsh Harbour, may she rest in peace. It's a tragedy that that great golf course has disappeared simply because of a rich woman's pouting behavior. That said, Heather Glen is now my favorite, followed closely by Pawleys Plantation, The Pearl, and The Witch. Heather Glen's number nine on the White Course is, since the unfortunate demise of M.H., the prettiest finishing hole on the strand.

i've been in murtle beach twice a year for about 6 or 7 years playing a lot of different courses and my favorite is Kings North.I just last year finally got to play the "Gambler" and hit one of my best t-shots of the week there and lost my ball.It was either picked up by the group in front of me or (lol) hit a sprinkler head and went past the island fairway into the water.I can't wait to go back there and play again.from in western Maryland,thanks for the memories.

My favorite course of the 8 or 10 that I have played is the River Club because of a good variety of holes it has.

Loved the Tiger's Eye, tough but rewards good shots and breaking 80 was most memorable

Even though I'm from Ireland and live in the beautiful West of Ireland I'm a compulsive visitor to what can only be decsribed as "Golf Heaven", Myrtle Beach, over the last 10years and have now played over 30 of the magnificent course on offer with my lifetime goal being to play them all and then retired there.
The one Course that stands out time and time again and is always on my itinerary is Glen Dornoch up in Little River as the those final three Holes always get my juices flowing with anticipation and I always try to start on No. 1 so as they are there waiting for me at the end of the Round.
It took me six attempts to Par 16 and the same day I birdied 17 and also made Par on 18, and I was pumped.
There are also some other great holes on the Course such as the Par 5 8th and the beautiful par 4 9th along the causeway's edge where if you're lucky a friedly wave is nearly always assured from one of the passing Casino boats.
I really mean it when I said that Myrtle Beach is "Golf Heaven" and for me Glen Dornoch is the model of a friendly and hospitable athmosphere around which all that is best about the MB experience.
Can't wait to get back there next Year (Feb 2010).

My Favorite Golf Course is Shaftesbury Glen. It is a sleeper. It is a must play golf course.

I've played quite a few courses in the area, especially in NC, as I have a vacation home on Oak Island (the course there is fun, although it's out of the way for most), but my favorites are definitely Rivers Edge and Oyster Bay, with Heather Glen and Lockwood Folly not far behind. Really not many courses I didn't like, but I was very disappointed by Wicked Stick. Glad I found this site, because it gives me plenty of others to try.

My favorite course has to be The Wizard because of the fairness for the average golfer.Wide fairways and great greens that bite, what else could you want?I have played most of the courses at MB and I love the beauty of Caledonia and Pawleys Plantation. Grand Dunes,International World Tour and The Thistle are also favoites.

Been travelling to Myrtle every Fall for 40 consecutive years - played them all / have a logo ball from each. There are seven courses in my top three - can't break it down any finer than that. But I am always quick to point out - Heritage has the best six finishing holes in all of golf..period..
How can you beat the grouping of Heritage, Calabash, Pawley's and True Blue - four top hundred courses in the US within three miles of each other.

One of the best things about the Myrtle Beach area are the choices, food, hotels, entertainment and most of all golf. With all the fantastic golf choices that are available its hard to imagine that the 2nd oldest golf course in Myrtle Beach stll remains in my opinion the best overall. That course is the Dunes Beach & Golf Club at the end of Ocean Blvd. I have every intention of playing every golf course in Myrtle Beach someday, however I will never turn down an opportunity to play the Dunes.

First choice would be The Dunes Club. I birdied 13 (aka Waterloo) while carrying a 24 handicap. Won't ever forget those shots.
Second would be Caledonia, then Oyster Bay.

It's been a few years since I've been to the "Beach", but my favorite is Tidewater. The design is straight forward golf, no tricks, great use of the terrain, excellent views. I'm more of a traditionalist, and Tidewater is it. Ken Tomlinson did a wonderful job here.

Playing Tidewater is country club golf in a perfect setting. What else does one need?

After playing over 50 courses, I pick SandPiper Bay in N.C. I played it 19 years ago when it was just 18 holes and the scenic drive between holes was unforgetable. Tough, long par threes, and fast bent grass greens. Since adding the other nine, it still my favorite.

My favourite is still Cypress Bay Golf Club. I started going down with my brother to Myrtle Beach every fall in 1991 and the first course was Cypress Bay. I can still feel the excitement on the first tee for my first game down there. On the first hole I hit the shed on the right, then the fence on the other side and I killed many a tree. But I never had a better time.

It has to be Caledonia. About 11 or 12 signature holes. Absolutely beautiful property. No houses on the course. Next best thing to Augusta. To pack that many great holes in 1/4 the total area of most modern courses shows what a true genius Mike Stranz truly was.

The one course I make sure to book every time I come down is the Heritage Club. Its a great layout and always in top condition. Not to mention the great sevice and the beautiful views.

I have been playing the courses in MB for a bunch of years, and my favorite is still World Tour. The course is very challenging and always in great shape. The staff is the best at the beach. Can't wait until my next Road Trip Myrtle Beach.

I always look forward to playing Glenn Dornoch on my 1st day.Prestwick my 2nd day.Farmstead my 3rd day.And finish with The Thistle.I usually play these because my daughter likes them!Then we find something new and try them.

From the time you make the drive through the old moss covered trees toward the clubhouse, you know you're in for something special at the Heritage. Kinda like coming up Magnolia Lane at Augusta (but not). Anyway, it's a beautiful course in the "low country" with lots of character, beauty and challenge.

It is tough to beat the Dunes Club -- great layout and greens. Tidewater and Glen Dornach are right behind.

Wicked Stick isn't a Top 100-type course like a Rivers Edge or Oyster Bay, but it has earned a reputation as an excellent value course.

I like the Avocet course at Wild Wings-though being from Green Bay, every course at Myrtle Beach is great in spring as we still have snow on ours.

I have been to Myrtle beach about 10 to 15 times and my favorite course is Traditions it is always in the best shape and the holes are great. Glen Dornach has the toughest three finishing holes that I have ever played. Can't wait to go back in March and play Caledonia.

While Caledonia is gorgeous and full of memorable holes, I'm going with World Tour. There's just something special about getting to take a shot at Amen Corner that gets me amped up for it every season.

Year in year out I look forward to Oyster Bay. Its a course built in the traditional sense, fair and challenging-a staff that are always courteous and accomodating-good food as well.

I'v been going to MB off and on for years now, and the most enjoyable place I have found to play is the Derriere Club. The staff there is always friendly and go out of thier way to give you that personal attention. Every trip we always seem to end up playing around there and I usually have this urge to put my putter in the holes. Great place to play !!!

I have played about 75 courses in Myrtle Beach and my favorite has to be Kings North. Every tee box you have to say " Would you look at this" just beautiful.

Caledonia has to be first. Beauty, variety of shots, elevation changes, atmosphere - it has it all - time after time.

I grew up on the 7th hole of Litchfield Country Club, so it will always hold a special place in my heart. Now that I live in Chicago, people ask me for recommendations and my first choice is always Caledonia. My only reservation is the 9th hole, which looks like they ran out of land. You can't go wrong on the South Strand with Caledonia, True Blue, Pawleys Plantation, Litchfield CC, River Club, etc.

I gotta say that I can't see why anyone hasn't included the Witch. It's unique, beautiful and challenging. If you like a course that you have to think your way around, the Pearl is a good choice.

I like Waterway Hills...riding over the water in the side car, up and down and all around is silly.

Possum Trot is one of my favorites.

Having played over fifty courses my favorite now is The Witch and the fact you never have the feeling of being crowded. Unfortunately my all time favorite Belle Terre has been shut down.

I have played over 40 courses in the Myrtle Beach area - have enjoyed them all so picking one is tough - probably Grande Dunes would be #1 - the Dunes also is right there.

I've played around 60 courses and one of my favorites is Wild Wing Avocet. I love the layout and it plays well for all levels.

No particular order and you certainly can't go wrong with any of these:

Oyster Bay - Great, great layout (Prob. my #1)
Caledonia - Pure class & elegance
Heritage - Class again
Tidewater - Pebble-of-the-east
Parkland @ Legends - Nice layout and great facility
Willbrook - Beauty and fun
King's North - Very busy but well-worth it
Thistle - Great place to score and different from the rest
Heathland @ Legends - see Parkland & Thistle

My favorites are Oyster Bay, Long Bay, & Witch (in that order) for playing over & over, and being unique to Myrtle Beach.

World Golf Tour is also terrrifically entertaining, but only to play the once.

King's North at Myrtle Beach National is my favorite. It's beautiful, well-conditioned, and is a thinking golfer's golf course. Plus, anything with a life size Arnold Palmer statue in front of the clubhouse HAS to be okay. Moorland at Legends, aka roller coaster golf on steroids, is my second favorite.

My wife and I have been going for at least one week every year, for 10 years. One of our favroite
course has to be Thistle G.C.. The staff and
starters are the best. Very very accommodating. We
are senior golfers and the course is so easy for
our game. Very enjoyable. when we are in Myrtle
Beach we never miss it.

I loved playing the courses at myrtle beach national, have played all the courses with my sons and always had a great time. the staff was always top notch and courses in great shape. coming again!

My favorite is Caledonia. It's not long, which makes it more enjoyable for me, but it is challenging and picturesque. It makes for a great day on the links.

I've probably played 70 course in the Myrtle Beach and surrounding area over the last 12 years.
There are not many bad courses out of all the courses I've played.
We played in Jan. 2009, Leopard's Chase which was excellent! Some other all time favourites are Caledonia, Prestwich, Tide Water, Oyster Bay,Fazio at Barefoot Landing, Thistle, and the Witch. I could probably name 10 more too. What a great golf area and the prices are very reasonable. Some great restaurants also provide 2 of dinners. All the courses bend over backwards to provide great service and warm hospitality.

I've been running an early season week long trip for 28 for 18 years with several fall trips. I've played all the tracks that are left and those that have disappeared. While the most well known deserve the credit they receive,(Tidewater, Caledonia) I believe that the Heritage Club is the most underrated layout and terrific value. The variety of holes, including short par 4's with options, scenery and wildlife make it a true pleasure to play.

For me King'North, and Litchfield C C, are the best two courses I've played. I have been going to Myrtle Beach, for the last 5yrs, and played about 35 different Golf Courses.

Two courses come to mind, Caledonia and Grand Dunes. Grand Dunes is my favorite where I had my first hole in One on the par 3 by the canal.

I've played over 35 of Myrtle Beach golf courses and my favorites are Caladonia, especailly love the entrance to the club, Tidewater, the Dunes and Tiger's Eye golf club. Anyway as long as you are in Myrtle Beach instead of freezing in Canada,all the courses are great.

Favorites are International World Tour and King's North. Also the Legends with Moorland, Heathland, and Parkland is single best site with multiple courses.

Have been coming to Myrtle Beach for 20 years and played most of the courses on the Grand Strand, but Caldonia stands out the most. Just the drive to the club house past the beautiful live oaks lets you know that that something special awaits you

I believe that King's North is my favorite. I also have to include World Tour, Arrowhead, and Tidewater as some of the best.

after playing the grand strand for an excess of twenty five years, my favorite course is still oyster bay.the layout is challenging to all levels of golfers.the staff is extremely knowledgable and friendly.this is not condemnation of any other course because there many geat courses on the grand strand.

Tidewater. The holes are larger than life. The course is so sprawling, I'm not sure a course could be built like that anymore.

Tidewater is beautiful and scenic.

World Tour is fun to play.

Kings North is fun to play.

Those 3 would be my top 3.

The most underrated course on the strand has to be Willbrook. With the improvements made over the last couple of years, the beauty and playability make it my group's favorite.

I've only been coming for 4 years (09 will be my fifth, in March). My list of the top 3 are:

King's North-- (I love the Gambler!)

Tidewater-- Just for the sheer sprawl of it, although the tidal flats are pretty smelly.

Tiger's Eye-- Love those waste bunkers that run the length of the fairway!

100 courses and 100 favorites,the worst one i played was wonderful!

My friend owns a place in Tidewater,love playing that course, my other favorites are Oyster Bay and Glen Dornoch. We go every spring for the last 8 years. A nice afternoon course is Possum Trot. Rivers Edge is also one of the best courses in North Myrtle.

Sorry to say I've only played Myrtle Beach one time in my life (boy did I miss a lot of good years). So far my favorite is Wicked Stick. I played in March and that was my first round of the year. It was wide open and challenging so that made it enjoyable for that time of the year. I WILL be back.

My favorite is Shaftesbury Glen,always in great shape,it probably helps tht I score well when I play there.

My favorite course has to be Caledonia. Difficult, but fair. Very scenic and easy on the eyes. Could play there the rest of my life.

Although, I never had the privilege to play all the wonderful golf courses in your great state,I will definately play there on my next vacation.

I've been going to Myrtle Beach for 16 years now and i love playing all the courses, honorable mention to The World Tour. Great course and the staff is terrific.

My favorite course is not the best course I have played at Myrtle Beach. Oyster Bay is the first course I played (about twenty years ago) while staying at the Colony (Carolina Beach and Golf). The staff were so great in arranging our visit, I brought them a box of Kentucky bourbon balls candy as a token of appreciation. My partner and I were matched with a couple from Canton, Ohio, one of whom was a lady golf pro. I still have her business card. Our round was terrific and we enjoyed watching a pro who mastered the course with ease. We also enjoyed the Legends. A great visit. "One time I dreamed I died and went to Myrtle Beach."

I've been coming to MB for 20 years and have played over 50 courses in that time period. It's tough to rank them because there's so many fond memories at excellent venues. I'd rank Caledonia #1 because I never miss an opportunity to play it- beautiful, very playable,& memorable ; Oyster Bay #2- unique,beautiful,also very playable ; The Dunes & Surf Club tied for #3- classic, memorable,& challenging. The following also rank but I'd be splitting hairs: Heritage,Grande Dunes,Wild Wing Avocet,Pearl East&West.

I`m sad to have learned that Marsh Harbor is gone. It was one of my favorites.My favorite has not been mentioned.I played Arcadian Shores in the late 70`s , and it was remarkable.I`ve played approximately 40 courses since then and some of my other top picks would be ;The Dunes,Moorland,Heritage,Tidewater,Long Bay , and The Witch.This is by far heaven on earth to every class of golfer.I hope to get their in mid March.

Caledonia is by far the best course

Has to be Prestwick.

I have a three way tie between Robbers Roost, Carolina Shores, and Kings North. All the staffs come across as very sincere in expressing their sincerity to me in enjoying myself and playing their course.

Having played over 80 courses in the area, I found many favorites; but my favorite favorite is Caldonia Fish and Golf Club. It's fun, stunning beautiful and challenging. Sitting on the porch after a round and watching players come into 18 is great.

I have played most of Myrtle's fine golf courses, and my favorite course has to be Tidewater, where I was even par after 14 holes, a downpour ensued, and I couldnt finish. ps my hdcp at the time, 14.

The Thistle - It is about 7 years since I played golf in Myrtle Beach but the Thistle still stands out in my mind as a really brilliant course and a great experience

I look at over all experience. I have been coming down to MB with good friends for 16 years and played a lot of courses. My favorite course would be the WITCH. No houses just you and the course, and some alligators here and there.Hit'em straight everybody.

My favorite course is The Palmetto at Mrytlewood. They treat you well and are always very accommadating. I've played this couurse each of the 27 years we have visiteed Myrtle Beach.I have played 66 of the couurses there but this feels like a home course to me. I also enjoy Eagles Nest,International,Quail Creek and beachwood.

This will be my 7th year going to Myrtle Beach, and having played 29 of the courses at Myrtle this is my top 5.

I was in M.B. in 1992 and liked Waterway Hills and also Myrtle Beach National-now back in 2009-we golfed the Jones at Seatrail thought it was great and am anxious to come back possibly in November, 2009 and try the Caledonia-which has gotten many,many reviews. All the courses we golfed this past 10 days were great!

I organize a group of eight from Toronto, Ontario area each year and the guys always want to play Long Bay as one course in the package. This year we played Tidewater as well and had a lot of fun on the marsh holes. Both great courses.

By far my favorite golf course is The Witch. Nestled in the woods, it is a very challenging course with its undulating lies on the fairways and the uneven lies on the greens. My husband and I come to Myrtle Beach every year and we thoroughly enjoy playing The Witch.

We visited Myrtle Beach last summer and only played a few courses but I really liked The Witch. The way the course winds through the "swamps" is very cool. We are looking forward to returning to Myrtle Beach this summer and will definitely play The Witch again.

I started playing in MB a long time ago and developed several favorites and #1 usually changed most every time I came down and played new courses. However, since somehow in the great golf world, I managed to play Caledonia, Tidewater, and Prestwick in the same 5 day trip, I have to play at least one of them each time I am there. I now live in Williamsburg, also home of some great courses, but I rank Caledonia as MB area favorite, but hard to leave out Prestwick and Tidewater, so let's just give them a tie. Oh, I'm afraid I need a few more trips to each of them to make up my mind, what a problem!

TIGER EYE IS MY FAVORITE COURSE. ITS A TESTING COURSE BUT FAIR KEEP IN THE FAIRWAY AND YOU CAN ENJOY.

All the courses at the Legends are excellent. My son works there so the price is right and the time with spent golfing with him is priceless.

The River Club has always been a favorite of mine. I really enjoy the risk/reward of #18. It also has a special place in my memories since I made an eagle on #6. #15 is one of the most difficult holes on the Strand in my opinion.

I will have to say my favorite is Shaftebury Glen where I got my second hole in one.

Several years ago, my wife and I had the pleasure of visiting my parents over Thanksgiving in Myrtle Beach. Of course, I brought along my clubs to enjoy a round or two with my father. The day after Thanksgiving we were lucky enough to reserve an early morning tee time at Tidewater. The temperature on my car thermostat read 36 degrees when we arrived. We played the back nine first. What a course! The holes that border along the inter-coastal are both beautiful and demanding. I managed a so-so 41 on the back. On the front I started playing better, maybe because the temperature was rising and my blood began to flow. As we approached number 8, I figured that if I could finish par-bogey I would break 80. Number 8 is a par 5 with marsh on the left and trees and condos on the right. Just get a good drive and 79 was in my reach. I blistered a drive right down the middle and a 5 iron 185 yards that never left the flag. I managed to sink the 12 foot eagle putt and followed that with a par 3 on number 9 to finish with a 41-35=76. I have had lower scores in my life, but to this day that round remains the most memorable and enjoyable round of my life.

Thistle is number "1" with Kings North a close 2nd! The peace and tranquility on the gifted sod is a place that brings one to the joy of playing the game the way it was meant to be played! Nature is abundant and it is a place where you become part of the game itself! Last year we played it with 16 guys and I got to play it with my son Jordy, my friend John and his son Jake. It was a father and son match for the ages! After we returned home to Cape Cod my friend John passed away! The times we shared together that day at Thistle will last for ever in my memory! For this reason it will always be a special place to myself and my son!

I have played every course in Myrtle Beach over a 26 year span. I love going there and playing a different challenging course every year. As far as a favorite course, It is hard to narrow it down to one. Grand Dunes is not only beautiful and friendly but fair and that is important to me.
Caledonia, True Blue and Heritage are the most beautiful courses to play, and Tidewater should be on the list, but it is a bit more challenging than the others.
I normally play to a 16 handicap but when I play in Myrtle Beach I play from the Blue Tees and some courses make that a huge difference.
I love playing in MyrtleBeach and can't wait to go back every year
