On January 15, US Air Flight 1549 hit a flock of geese taking off out of LaGuardia Airport and was forced to make an crash landing in the frigid Hudson River. Miraculously, all 151 people aboard the plane survived. Six of the passengers on the flight were headed to Myrtle Beach for their annual golf trip, a journey they got to fulfill in late April, staying and playing at Legends, Heritage, TPC of Myrtle Beach and True Blue.

Apparently during the rescue on the river one of them commented "we could still drive down...".. Another said "but our clubs are on the bottom of the Hudson"..
