Who will ever forget Phil Mickelson’s putt on the 72nd hole to win The Masters in 2004? Ok, we probably remember the “jump” after he sank it more to perpetuate the “white men can’t jump” stereotype, but it was an amazing, pressure-filled, clutch putt.
Phil is known as a very good putter, evidenced by his deft touch in winning his third green jacket in 2010. His prowess with the flat stick at The Masters last spring drew an overwhelming inquiry at Callaway Golf about what kind of putter Mickelson was using at Augusta National. Well, Callaway Golf listened – the manufacturer has produced a limited edition of the Odyssey ProType PT82 putter. The putter is based after the design Mickelson used to win The Masters. Only 2,500 models have been produced as the mold has been broken and production has ceased.
