Post-round happy hour is an unwritten part of the itinerary for many Myrtle Beach golf groups. It’s an opportunity to exchanges stories, make excuses, and enjoy a cold drink. So where are the best spots in Myrtle Beach to enjoy happy hour?
We consulted with some of the area’s most active barflies to compile a list that covers the entire Grand Strand. Our suds-swilling panelists wrestled with their ballot (late into the night on occasion) but made the difficult decisions necessary to complete their task.
No. 1 – Liberty Steakhouse, Broadway at the Beach: The unquestioned king of Myrtle Beach happy hours. A broad selection of microbrews, half-price appetizers and a central location make Liberty the area’s most popular post-round destination.
No. 2 – Ocean Annie’s – Ocean Annie’s touts itself as the area’s most famous beach bar and there is little argument to the contrary. Listening to live music beside a pool with the pounding surf of the Atlantic just yards away is hard to beat.
No. 3 Dead Dog Saloon – Located on the Marsh Walk in Murrells Inlet, the view is stunning. Throw in an open air deck, built around a sprawling oak tree, an outdoor bar, and regular live entertainment, and the reasons for Dead Dog’s popularity are many.
No. 4 Flynn’s Irish Tavern – An old jail converted into an Irish bar? Someone has a sense of humor (and one of the Grand Strand’s most rollicking bars). Located in what used to be the North Myrtle Beach Jail, Flynn’s Irish Tavern features a ventriloquist on Fridays and Irish bands throughout the weekend. If you are looking for a North Myrtle Beach pit-stop, Flynn’s is one of the best.
No. 5 – Bully’s Pub & Grill – Located at Barefoot Landing, Bully’s complements an outstanding location with great drink prices and games to keep the competitive juices flowing. If you don’t win on the course, Bully’s offers you the opportunity to regain your pride on a pool table, a dartboard or a bowling machine.
Have a beef with the list? What is your favorite Myrtle Beach area happy hour?

One bar that is missing for "Happy Hour" is Murphy's Sport Bar and Grill, I think it is one of the most reasonable bars in Myrtle Beach with lots of activities many TV's to watch your favourite teams in action and a friendly atmosphere

Rick,
If there had been a one man committee, Murphy's definitely would've been in the top 5 because it's my favorite! As it stands, it nearly made the list. Great wings, great shrimp, great place to watch a game, especially if you are a Pittsburgh fan.
