Myrtle Beach Golf Hall of Fame

The Myrtle Beach Golf Hall of Fame was created in 2008 by Golf Holiday along with the Burroughs and Chapin company. The Hall of Fame was designed to pay tribute to the individuals that have helped mold and grow the Myrtle Beach golf industry over the years.

In 2009, the Hall of Fame celebrated it's inaugural year along with the reopening of Pine Lakes Country Club. That year, six individuals were inducted into the Hall of Fame. Two more were added in 2010 and even more will be added in the years to come. The individuals that have been inducted into the Myrtle Beach Golf Hall of Fame are:

2009

  • W. Cecil Brandon
  • Jr. Clay Brittain, Jr.
  • Caroline Cassidy Cudone
  • Jimmy D’Angelo
  • Genderal James F. Hackler, Jr.
  • Robert White

2010

  • George W. "Buster" Bryan
  • Gary L. Schaal

If you would like to nominate someone to be accepted into the Hall of Fame, you must be considered to have a direct affiliation with the Myrtle Beach golf industry.  Contact a Hall of Fame board member with your request.  The guidlelines for nominees are:

  • Nominee must be a current or former resident of the Myrtle Beach area (Horry, Georgetown or Brunswick Counties)
  • Nominee may be living or deceased
  • Nominees will be considered from a variety of categories: Player, Instructor, Architect, Superintendent, Owner, Management Group or Volunteer
  • There will be no discrimination because of age, race, religion or gender
