The weather was beautiful, our World Champion shot his age, and David Feherty and Roger Clemens brought star-power to the 27th annual Golf.com World Amateur Handicap Championship. Bobby Perkinson of Alcoa, Tenn. shot a gross 74 and a net 69 at TPC-Myrtle Beach during Friday's World Championship playoff, besting 79 other golfers who won their flight. Bob Butler of North Atteboro, Mass., shot a gross 81 and a net 70 to finish second, one shot back.

During a ceremony at Martin's PGA Tour Superstore in North Myrtle Beach earlier today, Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday's Know Your Score campaign donated $21,477 to benefit the national prostate cancer organization, ZERO - The Project to End Prostate Cancer. This spring the campaign raised the money with "Closest to the Pin" contests at more than 25 Myrtle Beach area golf courses.
